One of the first scientific analysis of the phenomenon of Astral Projection (Nowadays called Out-of-Body Experience - OOBE), Sylvan Muldoon, as the person who experienced and cultivated a repeatable method for leaving his physical body, was, in the words of John Curtis Gowan (in his "Trance, Art and Creativity"), admirably paired with Carrington, whose familiarity with what we now call neurophysiology, as well as psychology, made for an erudite, sober and at times, very entertaining read. It should be required reading for so-called "skeptics," whose ideas are hopelessly mired in 19th-century science.
